About the Track
Awesome,
made circular.
On a small island, what we throw away matters. Awesome Circular Aruba backs the experiments that keep materials in use: turning waste into resource, designing for repair, and rethinking how the island makes, uses, and recovers things.
It works exactly like Awesome Aruba: a $1,000 no-strings micro-grant, funded by trustees, awarded monthly by consensus. The only difference is the lens: every funded project advances Aruba's circular transition in some concrete way.
You don't need to be a sustainability expert. You need an idea that closes a loop, and the drive to try it.
Reuse & Repair
Projects that extend the life of products and materials: repair cafés, reuse systems, refill schemes, libraries of things.
Waste to Resource
Turning the island's waste streams into something valuable: composting, upcycling, material recovery.
Regenerative Design
Ideas that design out waste from the start: circular products, packaging, and local production loops.
Community Loops
Sharing, swapping, and collective systems that help the whole community consume less and reuse more.
The Process
How a Grant Works
Apply with a Circular Idea

Into the Pool
RollingYour application joins the Awesome Circular Aruba pool. No deadline; submissions carry over from month to month.
Monthly Selection
Each MonthTrustees meet and pick, by consensus, the circular project that most surprises and delights them.
Award
Up FrontThe $1,000 grant is handed over up front, no strings attached: yours to turn a circular idea into a real prototype.
Encouragement & Mentorship
OngoingTrustees and the ACEF network help winners complete their projects and connect with circular-economy peers across Aruba and the Caribbean.
Catalytic Effect
BeyondA small, fast grant that de-risks experimentation and helps circular projects reach the stage where bigger funders engage.
Take the Stage
ShowcaseWinners step on stage at our showcase to share their circular idea with the community, and the stage stays yours. Come back anytime to show how far it's grown; updates and progress are always welcome. The only thing that waits is a second cheque: to keep the love spreading across a small island, past grantees are welcome to apply for another $1,000 grant six months on.
